4.8 Update: New Metric Dashboards for WooCommerce and LearnDash

Users Insights 4.8 is now available introducing new reporting features for WooCommerce and LearnDash, improved support for Gravity Forms 2.9, and a few bug fixes.

New Metric Dashboard Reports in WooCommerce

This update includes a new Metric Dashboard Report to the WooCommerce module. This report displays key store statistics for the selected date range, along with percentage changes compared to the previous period. It includes options to select one of the most recent periods (Last 7 days, 30 days, 6 months, etc.), as well as a custom period.

WooCommerce Dashboard Reports

The report includes:

  • Number of orders
  • Number of sales (orders with status completed, processing, on hold)
  • Sales total
  • Average order value
  • Number of new customers
  • Number of items sold
  • Number of refunds issued in the selected period
  • Refunds total amount

This provides a quick way to view store performance without needing to look at charts or graphs.

New Metric Dashboard Reports in LearnDash

The LearnDash module also now has a Metric Dashboard Report, showing course and student activity for the selected period, along with changes from the previous period.

Learndash Dashboard Reports

Metrics include:

  • Active Students
  • Courses Started
  • Courses Completed
  • Course Completion Rate – percentage of courses that were started and completed in the selected period
  • Average Time to Complete a Course
  • Most Popular Course
  • Quiz Attempts
  • Quiz Pass Rate

This gives an overview of how learners are progressing and engaging with your courses.

Gravity Forms: Field Support Update

The 4.8 update also includes support for the new multiple choice field introduced in Gravity Forms 2.9. Now multiple choice fields data is also available in the reports section graphs, similarly to the existing multi-select and checkbox fields.

Fixes and Improvements

  • Fixed an issue in BuddyPress/BuddyBoss where non-serialized field data caused errors.
  • Fixed a warning for texdomain being loaded too early, requiring restructuring of the plugin initialization code
  • Other small bug fixes and improvements.
